Debra Wisdom is the Vice President, Head of People at Sana Biotechnology.

Debra previously served as Executive Director, Senior People Leader at Sana, where she was responsible for building an integrated organization to support the R&D functions. As a strategic business partner, she has successfully onboarded and coached C-Suite leaders, from academia to industry, while driving thoughtful solutions for talent management, learning and development, and the employee experience.

Prior to Sana, Debra held leadership positions at Merck’s Exploratory Science Center and Baxalta (formerly Baxter), where she served as HR Business Partner, responsible for leading employee expansion and developing organizational design, career frameworks, and talent strategy. Earlier in her career, Debra gained pharmaceutical industry expertise through talent acquisition roles at Pfizer and Green Key Resources.

To complement her Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado, Debra holds certifications as an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and a Certified Hudson Coach, and is certified in Discovery Insights and Crucial Conversations facilitation.
